Grandchildren

I have to say that being a grandmother is so enjoyable, even more enjoyable than I could have imagined and that proved to be even more true today.

Tiff and Dan received the long awaited phone call today, they have a son. I am so happy for them, they have waited for so long and now the wait is almost over, he is almost in their arms. They are going to be such wonderful parents to this little boy. Congratulations Tiff & Dan - We love you.

I went to visit Little Miss Allie today and what a cutie pie! She got her first bath today by her Grammy and guess what - she peed in the water!! Big Surprise! It was a great vist and I thoroughly enjoyed being with Sara and Allie.

It was a great day off - A visit with Allie and a referral for Tiff and Dan - Who could ask for more?

Enjoy Allie pictures-

Visiting Grammy

Today was Allie's first visit to Grammy's house. Sara and Robby came for dinner with Allie - What a little beauty girl. Of course Grampy is just smitten with her. She tested out her little travel swing that is kept here and I think that it met with her approval or at least she seemed quite happy for the time that she was in it, but of course that was not for very long because Grampy finished inhaling his dinner and got her out to hold her while the rest of us finished our dinner. Then Allie decided that she needed more dinner or a snack or whatever it was she was having.

Auntie Tiff was not able to be here because of a prior commitment but I'm sure was wishing that she was able to be here. She and Uncle Dan did send there love and hugs and kisses. Uncle Dan said that he was going to come by himself but we did not see him - I'll bet that Auntie Tiff said, "No-ooooo." :) Anyway we missed them and Maggie too.

Before it was time to go I changed Allie's diaper and just to let me know who is boss - she did initiate me to my new position - I am no longer the queen of this palace because I was peed and pooped on and very well I might add. Allie May (I think) in her own little way stated that she has de throned me - she is now the Queen. :) After the diaper change it was time to go home with Mumma and Daddy.

Just wait until Marin/Bennett gets here - I'm doomed!!! And we thought it was bad with Maggie!!!!

Sunshine in (Allie) May

Allie May Fitzcharles has made her arrival. She came into this world at 4:15 this afternoon. She is a glorious ray of light that has entered our lives today. Already she has brightened our lives so much. Her Auntie Tiff was in the room to see her born as well as myself and daddy of course and grampy was outside pacing the hall of Mercy Hospital, but did hear her first cry. What an incredible day!

Congratulations Sara and Robby, you have a very beautiful daughter.
May God Bless you all.

Awaiting Babies

Tomorrow will be Sara's official due date and we are still awaiting on the arrival of Baby Allie. At the last OB appointment there was definite progress being made and there is another appointment scheduled for tomorrow, we shall see. I know that I am getting anxious to see what this child looks like. :)

My work held a grandmother baby shower for me last Saturday. It was a total surprise for me. I had to work that day so just when I thought I was going home people started to arrive at the office and before I knew it I was opening baby gifts - Wow - did that bring back memories! These gifts are for Allie and will stay at Grammy's house. There were all kinds of clothes, hooded bath towels, wash clothes, a baby monitor, books, toys and gift cards. What a lovely bunch of people I work with, that was so thoughtful. Who ever heard of Grammy showers?!

We are also waiting on dear Marin/Bennett. I pray every night for a referral for Dan and Tiff. I know that the waiting has to be absolutely excruciating and we all feel part of the anguish, but not near the amount that is felt by Dan and Tiff. I have to give them all of the credit in the world to go through all of this waiting and not complain and go through each and every day with a positive attitude and a smile on their faces. I am very proud of both of them because I do not think that I could be as strong. To Dan and Tiff - Your strength and patience will be rewarded. I love you both.
