BREAKFAST @ TIFFANY'S

Hello again and HAPPY EASTER of 2008.
This morning we all had Easter breakfast at Tiff and Dan's house. Hence the title of this blog. We had a very nice time and a whole lot of food. Mike cooked Apple smoked bacon, sausage, and eggs. Dan cooked pancakes and more eggs. I made the french toast. (Before you all say, "WHAT!", yes I do know how to cook.) The apple smoked bacon was something new for me and it was good but both Mike and I had to change our shirts when we got home because they smelled like smoke. We all ate until we were stuffed. Well, Robby probably could have put some more away, he always can. Good food, good company and all kinds of Maggie hugs - n - kisses. What a great morning. :)

Mike and I got to go home and relax (which means take a nap) but both Tiff & Dan and Sara & Robby had to be somewhere else later for a meal.

As you can see I got some new pictures - What a chore that was - Sara was the only half way willing participant, well Maggie didn't mind posing either. I think she was actually smiling a doggie smile.

Everyone got to see the newly painted nursery for Marin/Bennett. It looks very nice. The new Ergo Carrier that Tiff & Dan got looks like it's going to work great.

We had a wonder filled Easter Day and hope that everyone else did as well.

Oh, and to those who asked (thank - you Lorraine)Yes, my 6 Day headache which turned into 8 Days went away. I feel 100% better.
Thank God.

Until next time - Have a good one.

Spring Is In The Air

Spring is almost here - Well at least that is what the calendar says. Well, that is what I am going to believe as well. We've gotta do something! Spring will arrive on Thursday, 03/20/08 - Yay! I for one, am looking forward to it's arrival. Spring is my favorite time of year. I love the way the air smells so very fresh. It's time to hang the laundry out to dry and it smells so good, time to go for a nice long walk and just take in a good deep breath and it smells so good and time to open the windows and night and fall asleep with a nice breeze blowing and it smells so good! Shh, don't tell Mike I open the window, he's still got the electric blanket on!

Speaking of my husband, he took pains to make me a home made chicken soup today. (He is a wonderful cook.) Chicken soup is supposed to be the cure all and we hope that it cures my 6 day long headache. Either way, I know it will taste delicious. Mike's cooking always does.

We had a turkey dinner a couple of weeks ago (guess who cooked) and Sara & Robby and Tiffany came over. Dan was home painting the nursery. Tiffany left Maggie home as well - Can you imagine that?! I almost did not let her come in. :) Anyhow it was a very lovely time. I love it when the kids come over. They even let me take some pictures.

Sisterly Love!
Robby & Sara!

We are all eagerly awaiting the birth of Baby Girl Fitzcharles who now has a name. She is - Allie May Fitzcharles - She is due to arrive on or about May 14th. Sara is feeling well and experiencing all of the joys that that a mom to be should.

We are also eagerly and a bit impatiently awaiting for Tiff and Dan to hear news about a referral from Ethiopia. Adoption can be a long and slow process especially when you are playing the waiting game. We all feel it, but nobody more than Tiff and Dan. I know though, when Marin/Bennett does get here she/he will be worth the wait.

I went on Ebay and got a book that was Tiff's favorite book when she was a toddler. When I would tell her that it was story time she would run and get the same book every time. "Cookie Monster & The Cookie Tree" This was the only book that would due out of her whole book collection, and trust me she had a collection! We literally wore out one book and had to buy a second. Well now Marin/Bennett will have one too.

Have a great rest of the weekend and remember - Think - SPRING! SPRING! SPRING!

Snow - Snow - Snow

Okay so this is my first blog so bear with me - I'm trying!

First of all may I say I know that I live in Maine and I am even from Northern Maine (Presque Isle) BUT I am really getting tired of this snow. There is nothing that is pretty about it anymore!! I would dare say that March has come in like a lion - hopefully it will go out like a lamb.

I took Tasha to the vet yesterday and had them get rid of all of her matted fur. The tech thought that she would be able to brush it out. Yeah Right! My poor long haired cat is now partially bald.
She looks like a poor cancer cat. After my shoulder surgery 2 1/2 months ago I was unable to hold her to brush her and daddy was a softie and thought he was hurting her. Therefore the mats got out of control. I know that she really feels better and that her fur will grow back. She is all excited though because Maggie is coming to visit tomorrow.

I am looking forward to tomorrow - Dan, Tiff, Bobby, Sara, and Robby are all coming for mid afternoon dinner. I love getting all of us together. I miss the kids. Oh, of course the grand-dog will be here too. I just wouldn't be right if the Maggie did not come. We will have to play "chuck - it."

How's this for a first blog?
Did I pass Tiff?
